A series of Meetups under Polish-Ukrainian Startap Bridge has started from Vinnytsia

Everybody who wants to present project and get acquainted with the Polish investment funds and corporations, which came into force on March 21, 2019, at a meeting, organizing the “Polish-Ukrainian Startup Bridge”, which will be held in Vinnitsia in the square “KVADRAT” youth center.

The participants of the meeting got acquainted with the possibilities of attracting Polish venture funds to finance Ukrainian development. The young teams presented 9 startups that were pre-selected. Deskle – The platform which facilitates communication, teamwork and provides flexibility in the process, HeartIn – smart wearable T-shirts for monitoring of health indicators, Pikalka – smart in-store payments application, CoreTeka – platform for intelligent routing of cargo road transport, TicketHunt – AI-based ticket distribution software, SSG (Facekryptos) – completely secure messenger client, Smart Digital Insurance – SaaS-based information and assistance platform, NoPag – AI-poweret writing assistant application, Marakos – b2b group travel platform.

“We have been working with the Polish aid program for the past three years. Much learned and learned. I am sure that such cooperation will be useful to the city. After all, innovations are the engine that can give an impetus to Ukraine’s development,” said Vitalii Pogosian, director of the Department of Economics and Investments of Vinnytsia City Council.

Polish funds are ready to support Ukrainian start-ups and young companies. They communicate very closely with representatives of innovative ideas that are considered for investing. After all, venture capital is designed to finance a company that only tests its business model.

In the field of digitalization on the territory of Vinnytsia employ almost 300 legal entities and more than 2400 individual entrepreneurs. The share of information services exports is steadily high – 65.8% of total exports of services in 2018. In such a concentration of developments and business entities, creating favorable conditions for the development of creative industries and innovative technologies is a priority task for the Vinnytsia City Council, headed by Sergei Morgunov. That is why the team of the city is working on the creation of the first municipal platform for the development of innovations – the “Vinnytsia Innovation and Technology Park”. It will be a magnet for startups and will allow talented teams to realize their potential in their hometown.

The Polish-Ukrainian Startup Bridge organizers are initiated by the Polish Ministry of Investments and Development, funded by the Foundation for Cooperation. Among the partners is the Reactor open innovation platform, the Polish National Center for Research and Development, and the Simpact VC venture fund, AgriTech, which deals with innovations in agriculture.

Communal enterprise “Vinnytsia Municipal Innovation Center” became the co-organizer of the event, because the team of our communal enterprise was created for implementation of innovation policy and promotion of innovation in Vinnytsia!
