Vinnytsia Presented its Investment Proposals During the Meeting of the Board of the Ukrainian – Chinese Business Council

Representatives of Vinnytsia City Council and Vinnytsia Municipal Center of Innovation regularly participate in investment and industrial activities with business, science and government of the economically developed countries to establish cooperation, exchange experiences and attract foreign investment.
On December 2, 2020, during the Meeting of the Board of the Ukrainian – Chinese Business Council and negotiations on investment projects China (Harbin) – Ukraine, the team of Vinnytsia City Council was a Partner of the event.
The event was held to create an online and offline B2B platform for business cooperation between Ukrainian and Chinese entrepreneurs, as part of the initiative “One Belt and One Road”.
The participants of the meeting discussed the current state of trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and China, as well as the potential for future cooperation at the regional levels of two countries.
According to the data of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, which organized the event, in 2020 trade between China and Ukraine increased by 20%, Ukraine’s export to China grew by 70%. The parties noted that the indicators may increase significantly because Ukraine and its regions have many promising projects.
In turn, the leadership of the Harbin Chamber of Commerce and Industry noted the high interest in cooperation with Ukraine, both at the enterprise level (more than 32 Harbin companies have ties with Ukraine) and at the level of business associations and higher education institutions.
Speakers at the meeting were: Ambassador of Ukraine to China Serhii Kamyshev, Mayor of Harbin Sun Zhe, Head of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gennadii Chyzhykov, Chairman of the Ukraine-China Business Council on the Chinese (Zhang Xiaolu) and Ukrainian (Igor Lytvyn) sides, Head of the Investment Attraction Office (UkraineInvest) Serhiy Tsyvkach, representatives of the leading business corporations of both countries, science and innovation organizations.
Director of Vinnytsia Municipal Innovation Center Volodymyr Shevchuk presented detailed information on the benefits of investing in Vinnytsia City and Vinnytsia Innovation and Technology Park CRYSTAL.
We would like to remind that in August 2020, Vinnytsia Industrial Park won the “Golden Site 2020” competition, which was held as part of the Polish Aid for Development Project “Increasing the Competitiveness of the Ukrainian Regions and Developing of Polish-Ukrainian Economic Cooperation.”
