Vinnitsa was evaluated by 34 criteria and won the nomination “The most transparent publication of budget data in machine-readable format”. In this nomination our city competed with Drohobych, Lviv, Uzhhorod and Chernivtsi.
The machine readable format allows automated processing of information by electronic media. That means one click of a mouse can sort the data by the necessary categories.
Vinnytsia at the award ceremony in Kyiv was represented by the Director of the Department of Economics and Investments of Vinnytsia City Council Vitaliy Pogosian, who noted that the convenience and accessibility of information enable the community to join the development of the city.
“Crystal of the Year” is the first award in Ukraine devoted to the budget transparency. It shows the state of affairs in the budget sphere and serves as a guide indicating the direction of indicators and practices of transparency of the budget process. The award is given the best cities and communities that have been evaluated by international methodology.
